Hello friends! We are one week into the new year and so far I’m loving 2019. How about you? The first week of a new year can be so productive. I’m all inspired and motivated to organize, clean and even fit some crafting in. Ha! Let’s be real … I always find time for crafting. Therapy.
For this NEW YEAR the Global Design Project has a NEW theme challenge for you. A NEW YEAR!
Did you make a cool calendar, or do you have a crafty vision board? Some of my friends send out a new year card / letter instead of a Christmas card or holiday card. Share your new year creation with us! I made a fun card that can double as a thank you card. I always need thank you cards after Christmas.
My card features a super cool new birthday set called Amazing Life (Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog). I really love the look of this set. There are so many great images in this set but I opted to use the YAY! phrase because it sums up how I feel about this new year. I repeatedly stamped the YAY to create a background. Then I colored in the YAYs with my Stampin’ Blends for that ombre look. See the four step coloring process below. Also, a full list of supplies can be found at the end of this post.
Step 1: color bottom of YAY with darkest Calypso Blend.
Step 2: color top of YAY with lightest Petal Pink Blend.
Step 3: color middle of YAY with lightest Calypso Blend.
Step 4: Blend colors on YAY with lightest Petal Pink Blend.
Check out the Global Design Project blog to see what the other designers have created for this challenge. Tag your projects #gdp171 so we can be sure to find them on Pinterest and Instagram.
