Girl, You Are FABULOUS! It's true. It also happens to be the theme challenge for this week over at TGIF Challenges. Now, I'm not gonna lie, all of my cards are a little bit girly. It seems I don't create many masculine cards. Really, any card I've created over the last few months would have worked for this challenge. I decided to use a stamp set that I have not yet featured, Tabs for Everything, to create this card. It has the sentiment FABULOUS, which is perfect for this challenge. I used pink and gold as my color scheme and went to town. Diamonds, Gold, Crowns, Doilies, Faceted Gems, Pink ... what more could a girly girl ask for?

The Tabs for Everything stamp set includes all sorts of fun icons for you daily planner, journaling, and for creating small embellishments. I created this crown tab using 3 stamps from the set. The tab punch frames these icons perfectly.

Look at this pretty card! I'm really please with how it turned out. This card was created for this week's TGIF technique challenge. I love the emboss resist technique. It's so easy to do and creates fabulous looking results every time.

For this card I stamped the flower background from Wood Words in Versamark repeatedly in opposing corners of a layered Whisper White card stock. Then I heat embossed the stamped image with White Embossing powder. I painted in colors using an Aqua painter. I'm all about Flirty Flamingo and Powder Pink lately.

It's a HAPPY CELEBRATION! TGIF Challenges is celebrating 2 years of paper craft challenges. While I am relatively new to the TGIF design team I have been constantly inspired and motivated by this talented team and players over the last two years. Welcome to this week's TGIF Challenge! It's a sketch challenge week and this sketch is one that could lend itself to SO MUCH creativity! Check out all of the projects made with this sketch on the TGIF Challenge blog.

I am a huge fan of watercolor wash backgrounds. They are so easy to create and are a great base to start any card. I used Calypso Coral ink and an Aqua Painter to created my watercolor wash. I wanted to add a little more dimension to the background so I stamped the sprigs from the Vertical Garden stamp set in Versamark ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder.

The Hello verse was stamped in Tip Top Taupe and also Calypso Coral.

Vertical Garden happens to be on the Stampin' Up! retired list. This set is available right now at a 30% discount for $17.85, while supplies last. If fact, many of the supplies on this card are only available until June 1.

I'm sad to see this stamp set go but we've got to make room for all the new goodies.

My fav… pulling out an OLD stamp set from the stash to create a custom background. I played with type to match the background to the primary image using simple watercolor and stamps. Paint and stamp in same color. Easy. Color is Blackberry Bliss. All time favorite stamp set? How about favorite of the month? Year? I have so many "favs" and they rotate. Today we are sharing projects using our favorite stamp sets from our stash. There are certain stamp themes that I am certain to buy and keep. Any stamp set with a typewriter... or camera image, purchased! I have loads. On this card I used two typewriter themed stamp sets. 'Rough Type', which is and old alphabet stamp set. Remember those? It seems like we don't have many aphabet stamp set options anymore. Good thing I kept so many around ...
